Frequently Asked Questions
Here are the answers to some of our most commonly asked questions!
Q: Can I pay with a credit card?
A: Yes, if you buy your tickets online before arriving
Q: Is this Indoors or Outdoors?
A: Both. If it is cold dress appropriately. I hear hot chocolate from the concession stand makes great hand warmers.
Q: Do you do group sales?
A: Yes, group sales are available online only. Large non profit groups may contact us separately.
Q: How do we use Eleventh Hour as a fundraiser?
A: You must be a non-profit charity organization. You can sell tickets or your group can volunteer for a night. More info can be found HERE!
Q: It’s raining, are you open?
A: We are open rain or shine. 4 inch stiletto’s may not be the best footwear for a corn maze on a rainy night.
Q: Is it scary?
A: Ummm, It is a haunted house. The intent is to scare you, startle you, make you jump and yes make you smile and shake your head. If you didn’t get scared, you will at least be sure to have a good time.
Q: There are four haunted houses, do we have to wait in line over and over?
A: No, once you go in, you will go from haunt to haunt in a row without getting back in lines.
Q: I heard there's no lines. Huh?
A: Once you purchase your tickets you will wait in the festival area until your numbers are called. Hang out, have fun, eat. Buy a pumpkin, whatever you want. We hate standing in long lines too.
Q: I hear Eleventh Hour is the best haunted house in the Chicago area. Can you back this claim up?
A: Obviously these things are subjective, and many claim to be the best. We offer four different types of haunted houses, including a corn maze, live music most nights, and a Halloween festival experience that's hard to find this close to Chicago. We've been voted #1 Halloween Event by the vistors of HauntedIllinois.com for the last several years, and this past year we were voted both #1 Haunted House as well as #1 Halloween Event in Illinois.
Q: Can we get our money back if it is too scary?
A: It is a haunted house. If you are scared we did our job. If you are a wimp, you made our job easier. Thank You. All sales are final.
Q: But my friend, kid, girlfriend, boyfriend didn’t even make it in. They got scared and won’t go through! Can we get a refund?
A: So you took a scaredy cat to a haunted house? Again, we did our job. All sales final. If you care to upgrade to someone or thing braver, there are a number of single dead things roaming about.
Q: Wheelchairs?
A: Of course. We ask that you please leave the rocket powered motor chair at home though. Monsters don’t like being run over. Neither will your friends when you get startled and hit the power. We have a standard chair available to transfer to if need be. (In spooky stealth black of course)
Q: Will the monsters touch us?
A: Only if you touch them, then they are welcome to injure, maim, and dismember you as they see fit.
Q: It says you close at 10pm/11pm. What happens if we get there at 10 and there is a line?
A: As long as you make it to the box office line before close, you will get to go in.
Q: Do you have an ATM machine?
A: No, there is one across the street though.
Q: Can my 6 year old go through?
A: Really? We recommend 10 and above but leave it to parent’s discretion. We aren’t into child abuse and monsters will not attack a terrified child. Check our pumpkin fest: www.greatpumpkinfest.com for fun daytime family stuff.
Q: Refreshments?
A: Lots of yummy food and drinks are available at the concession stand.
Q: Do you have strobe lights, loud noises, or fog, and is there any heath concern?
A: Yes, we do have strobe lights, very loud noises and fog machines. These items have been known to cause epileptic seizures. If you know you are prone to seizures, please do not go through the haunt. Our Paramedics will laugh at you when you later say “I thought I would just close my eyes after I saw the strobes”
Q: Can I work at Eleventh Hour?
A: Yes, visit our ACTOR PAGE where you'll find THIS FORM to fill out!
Q: Do we have to pay for parking?
A: Seriously? Why would you pay for parking at a haunted house?
